If you could travel anywhere in the world right now and money was not a factor, where would you choose to go and what would you do once you were there?
I would choose to go to England again and spend more time in Cambridgeshire. I enjoy wandering in and out of bookstores and charity shops and just the atmosphere of the city of Cambridge. It’s fun to just wander about and see what is around the next corner.
Imagine turning a corner and seeing this:
It is what I saw while wandering through the streets of Cambridge. It’s called the Corpus Clock and it is on the corner of the Taylor Library at Corpus Christi College.
OR, imagine seeing the sites from the water on a punt complete with a guide who tells great stories of what you see and also manages to keep you dry.
My Cambridge punt ride was on a cool day in March but wool blankets kept those of us on the punt quite warm. It is something I’d like to do again on a warm day.
I think sometimes people think their travel dreams are impossible. They are right. They ARE impossible if they don’t take the first step. I think that first step is the hardest one to take because you don’t know where that first step will lead. It may be that the next step will begin an uphill battle or you might find that it is all downhill; plans fall into place and suddenly you are on your way! If you don’t try it will never happen and better the long-awaited trip than no trip at all.
“You are never too old to set another goal or dream another dream.”
~ C. S. Lewis
Please comment on where YOU would like to go and why!
I would like to do some flying and fishing in Alaska. (not flyfishing)
If I could go anywhere I would go to Scotland or Ireland. I have always wanted to see all the rolling hills that look so beautiful in the movies.
Visiting Washington D.C. has been on my bucket list for years. Late this summer I have an opportunity to go and am so looking forward to it!!
