Are you ready for Spring to arrive now and yet it is still only February? Longing for splashes of colorful flowers amongst the greenery and blue skies? Maybe you are ready for a change in scenery or a bit of adventure. We have a bit of winter to get through first but before we know it, it will be Spring. It’s time to plan and make your Spring Bucket List ideas more than just words on a piece of paper and make them reality. Planning will make the remainder of winter pass by quicker.

Do you have a Bucket List for yourself or your family? Maybe it is a day trip, or a weekend, or maybe your plan involves being gone several weeks. It might be attending a special event or doing something you have never done before and can hardly even imagine ever being able to do.
A DREAM written down with a date becomes a GOAL.
A GOAL broken down into steps becomes a PLAN.
A PLAN backed by ACTION makes your dreams REALITY.

Do you need ideas of new places to see, either alone or with others? You may long to see in person the places you have only seen in books or on the television or to explore places that are off the beaten path that only the locals know about. The possibilities for your Spring Bucket List are endless.
Lonely Planet publishes many guidebooks and they are a big help if you know where you want to go. If you don’t know, this book would be helpful: Lonely Planet’s Ultimate Travel: Our List of the 500 Best Places To See.
Another one full of really different and unique places is Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide. This one is one that I would like. I like to go to the out of the ordinary places and not to ones that tourists normally flock to.
If you live in the United States and like to take road trips, another helpful book full of ideas for trips to plan is a book published by National Geographic: 50 States, 5,000 Ideas: Where to Go, When to Go, What to See, What to Do. It would be a helpful book to have with you if you are planning on a bucket list trip across multiple states.

If you have a bucket list, it’s time to put your dreams into at the very least, the planning stage. You need to make your dreams known. That way others will expect that you will follow through and ask you about your progress. What is on your Spring Bucket List? Will you take the first step toward crossing one off your list and start on the road to reality? Comment and let me know if you are ready to plan, even if it’s just deciding what you will put on your list!
